Team Dignitas is an International e-Sports team headquartered in Great Britain. It was founded on September 9th, 2003 as a fusion of the Battlefield 1942 clans Legion Condor and Sweden Kompanix. Later on, more teams were added to the organization, and in July 2004 Team Dignitas was registered as a company - Team Dignitas Ltd. Michael "ODEE" O'Dell is the current Managing Director of Team Dignitas. In addition to their League of Legends team, Dignitas also sponsors teams and players for Battlefield 3, Counter Strike, Fifa, various fighting games, Quake Live, racing games, and StarCraft II.
The League of Legends division of Dignitas is one of the leading teams in the North American scene, placing highly in numerous premier and major events, both regional and international, since its conception with the acquisition of Rock Solid in September 2011. Currently, Team Dignitas hosts one team in the North American Season 3 Championship Series.

Leigh "Deman" Smith is known as the caster who suggested Rock Solid be considered during Team Dignitas' search for a new team.[citation needed]

They were knocked down to the loser's bracket in the first round after a 0-2 loss to Epik Gamer[5], but they then won against RFLX Gaming 2-0. Despite defeating Team SoloMid in Rampage KotH Series the week before, they were defeated 2-0, placing them in third place overall.[6] Team Dignitas won $5,000 and 60 Riot Circuit points, dropping to fourth place in the overall North American Circuit Rankings with 285 points.
[edit] Jatt/IWillDominate Roster Change
Dignitas announced on December 21st, 2011 that Joshua "Jatt" Leesman, their jungler, would be stepping down from the roster. His main reasons according to a team-dignitas.net article was "that Jatt can no longer put up the required time to stay at the top level and he does not want to hold his teammates back".[7] The community found out in April 2012 that Jatt has been a part of the Riot Games Staff since the middle of February. He is currently working for Riot as an Associate Game Analyst and is casting League of Legends tournaments for Riot. [8]
IWillDominate was announced as the new jungler for Team Dignitas on January 18th, 2012, only one day before IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Kiev. [9]
[edit] IEM Season VI Global Challenge Kiev
Team Dignitas started off Season 2 by winning $3,400 and 125 Circuit Points at IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Kiev. The team went 2-1 in the Group Stage, only losing out to Moscow Five.[10][11][12] In the semifinals, Team Dignitas lost 0-2 to Team SoloMid[13], thus earning themselves a spot in the third place match against SK Gaming. They concluded the tournament in third place with a victory over SK Gaming 2-1,[14] and moving up to third place in the North American Circuit Rankings with a total of 410 points.
[edit] IEM Season VI World Championship
After earning 60 points in the IEM Season VI Circuit, from the previous IEM events of the season, Team Dignitas qualified for IEM Season VI - World Championship in Hanover, Germany. Team Dignitas placed 1st in their 6 team group, only losing to FnaticRC, ensuring themselves a first round bye in the 6 team playoff bracket. [15] The team went on to defeat against All authority 2-0, but lost to Moscow Five 0-2 in the finals.[16] Team Dignitas won $20,000 at the event along with 200 Circuit Points, allowing the team to keep its third place standings in the North American Circuit Rankings.
[edit] IPL Season 4
After returning home from Europe, Team Dignitas traveled to Las Vegas to compete in IPL 4 on April 6th, 2012. They started off the tournament with 2-1 victories over Monomaniac and Counter Logic Gaming in the first two rounds. Team Dignitas lost to Team SoloMid 1-2 in the winner's bracket finals, and then were eliminated by Counter Logic Gaming Prime 0-2.
[edit] Voyboy/Crumbzz Roster Change
The major roster change consists of Voyboy, the Team Dignitas top laner, leaving to join Counter Logic Gaming Prime. His replacement was announced on the same day as his departure leading to Crumbzz from Curse Gaming joining the team on May 19th, 2012.
[edit] 2012 MLG Spring Championship
With only three weeks of practice under their belts, the modified roster was not expected to do big things by most at the MLG Spring Championship on June 9th-10th, but the team managed to get a third place finish. After beating Wolf Pack, Team Green Forest, Team Dynamic, and CLG Prime in the winner's bracket, the team finally fell to tournament favorite Team SoloMid in the winner's bracket final, sending the team to the loser bracket finals against CLG Prime. CLG Prime managed to sweep Team Dignitas 2-0 to send them home with a third place finish, winning $5,000 and 125 Circuit Points. [17]
[edit] Azubu The Champions Summer 2012
On June 19th, 2012, Team Dignitas moved into a temporary team house in Korea to participate in the Azubu The Champions Summer 2012. Unfortunately, Team Dignitas jungler IWillDominate would be plagued with various health issues during his stay in Korea, having to go to the emergency room twice due to immune system problems. At the event, Team Dignitas would be seeded into Group B where they would take third going 1-2, defeating RoMg while falling to NaJin Sword and Azubu Frost.[18] Shortly after the event, Team Dignitas would fly back home to North America.
[edit] 2012 MLG Summer Championship
On August 24th-26th, Dignitas competed in the 2012 MLG Summer Championship in Raleigh. They would get a bye the first round of the tournament. In round 2 they would take out CLG Black 2-0. Due to the structure of MLG brackets, they would not play again until Round 4 where they would beat Team Dynamic 2-1. Dignitas would meet Curse Gaming in the Grand Finals, where the two teams arranged to play an ARAM for the first game. Following the best of 5, Dignitas would fall to Curse 3-2. [19] Due to the "collusion" both teams would be disqualified and the prize pool would fall to the teams placing third through sixth. [20]
[edit] Riot Season 2 North American Regionals
The following weekend in August on 8/30-9/2 Dignitas would compete in the Season Two Regional Finals - Seattle to compete against the top 8 teams in North America based off Circuit Rankings for Season 2. They played against Team Dynamic in the Quarterfinals taking the series 2-0. Moving on from there to face against CLG.NA in the semi-finals where they would take that series 2-0 as well. Ultimately falling to Team Solomid in the finals 2-0 where they would take 2nd place and move onto the Season 2 World Championship. [21]
[edit] Riot Season 2 World Championship
On October 4th, Team Dignitas participated in the Season 2 World Championship in Los Angeles, California. Despite their strong showing at the North American Regionals, Dignitas appeared outmatched at the global tournament, losing decisively to CLG EU, Saigon Jokers, and NaJin Sword. The loss to the Jokers was considered the biggest upset of the group stage. [22] Dignitas finished in 11th-12th and took home $ 25,000.
[edit] Season 3
On February 3rd, Dignitas announced the addition of Team Pulse to their lineup, as subs and their new challenger team.
