Overview

NiceGameTV League of Legends Battle - Winter is an online tournament taking place in South Korea starting in November 2012 and ending in January 2013. This is secondary league to OLYMPUS Champions Winter. Losing teams from offline qualifiers and top non-qualifying teams from online qualifiers of OLYMPUS Champions Winter will participate. The tournament is aired by NiceGameTV via Ustream, Afreeca and Daum TvPot.

Format

• Gold League (16 teams from qualifiers advance to Gold League)
  • Round of Sixteen - Round robin with four groups of four
  • Top 2 teams from each group advance to playoff round
  • The 4 winners of the playoff matches advance to Platinum League
• Platinum League (4 teams from Gold League and 4 teams that finish last in OLYMPUS Champions Winter)
  • 8 teams split into 4 groups
  • The 4 winners of the playoff matches advance to Diamond League
  • All matches are two sets best of three. If the teams win one set each, a final sudden death game will be played
• Diamond League (4 teams from Platinum League and 4 teams that finish 5th-8th in OLYMPUS Champions Winter)
  • Single elimination bracket
  • All matches are best of five, except quarterfinals.
  • In the quarterfinals teams will play two sets best of three. If the teams win one set each, a final sudden death game will be played.
  • Winner gets a seed for next season of LoL The Champions
  • 2nd-4th place gets a seed for LoL The Champions offline qualifiers
