Mike "Wickd" Petersen is a professional League of Legends player from Denmark. He is the top laner for Evil Geniuses.
[edit] Biography
At age three, Wickd’s interest in gaming was born when he began playing the turn-based combat game “Worms”. As he got older, Wickd began playing games like World of Warcraft and Counter-Strike. He eventually grew bored and began searching for a new game to play. After seeing an advertisement for the League of Legends beta, he decided to install the game. Not long after, Wickd fell in love with League of Legends and decided to quit World of Warcraft and Counter-Strike. Now Wickd is one of Europe’s most seasoned players, having played in all but one European LAN tournament featuring League of Legends. In Season 1 he was the first player who reached Platinum in Solo Queue.
In 2010, he and his former team, Team Dimegio, were recruited by SK Gaming. On October 20th, 2011 he left SK Gaming to form a team with WetDreaM under the flag of Absolute Legends. With the merger of Absolute Legends and Counter Logic Gaming, the team Counter Logic Gaming EU was formed. Wickd served as team captain for CLG.EU.
[edit] Trivia
- His favorite champions are
Renekton and
Irelia[1]
- He is known for his aggressive playstyle, and has been quoted as saying: "You always need to play like the enemy jungler isn't there. If you don't, you lose the lane"
- After losing an important qualifier tournament with his team (where most of his favourite champions were banned); his fellow team members asked him to start training on AP champions for the top lane so they can run the popular "Dual AP" strategy. He chose to learn
Vladimir and
Kennen as he hated to confront these champions.
- He popularized the Season 2 Attack Speed
Irelia build with Berserker's Greaves, Wit's End and Ionic Spark, where
Irelia would have a lot of attack speed and deal a lot of magic damage as well.
- Spurred on by hyrqBot's tweet[2] , Wickd made and lost a wager with sOAZ to decide which of them would participate in the Season 3 LCS All-Star Game in a Best-of-5 showdown.[3] .
